A Date-based Automation is based on a specific day or event like customer’s birthday, anniversary or sale.
To create an Automation, navigate to Marketing > Automations then click on Create Automation
 button.

In Create Automation page you'll get to choose from 3 pre-built date-based automations which are:

Holiday, Christmas Sale And Event Awareness 


A pop-up will appear, Type your Automation name, Choose the List or Segment you want to work with, write a description of this Automation, and most importantly, you need to set the Date that your Automation will be centered around then click on Save button.

A new Step will appear; you need to Choose Action from a drop down list, then type number of days to be waited before or after the selected Date for the action to be triggered.



 Each action has different configurations, for example, Create a Task you must choose the type of your task, subject, due date and who's assigned to this task. but when you choose Send Email, you will need to select an Email Template and Edit Email Subject so your account will send it on behalf of you.




Once you're done click Save, then you can Add New Step until you have a completed workflow.

After creating your Automation Steps you can Edit each step, re-order Steps, or even Delete steps. Once you’re happy with what you have click on Start Automation button.

Note: After an Automation starts, you can’t make changes, because this would break the process for Contacts who are already in the Automation.
